1. Artisanal Honey Purity & Quality
All honey sold by NECTAR AND HIVE is 100% pure, single-origin South African raw honey cold-extracted from our hives. Because our honey is unprocessed and unpasteurized, natural crystallization over time is completely normal and serves as proof of enzymatic purity. Crystallization is not a defect and is not grounds for return.
2. Jar Volumes & Pricing
All prices displayed on this website are in South African Rand (ZAR) and include the pure glass jar packaging (250g, 500g, or 1kg). Prices are subject to seasonal harvest availability and may be updated without prior notice.
3. Durban Delivery & Pickup Policy
- Local Pickup (Sherwood, Durban): Completely Free of charge. Pickup appointments and gate instructions are provided via WhatsApp following order confirmation.
- Surrounding Areas Delivery: Free delivery is available to immediate surrounding Durban suburbs.
- Outside Surrounding Areas & Nationwide: Delivery fees for addresses outside Durban and across South Africa are quoted and confirmed directly with the customer via WhatsApp prior to courier dispatch.
4. Ordering & Payment Terms
Final order confirmation, invoice generation, and bank payment coordinates (Instant EFT or direct bank deposit) are coordinated directly via WhatsApp (+27 82 773 6543). Products are dispatched once payment confirmation is verified.
5. Damaged Goods & Food Safety
Every jar is inspected and packaged securely in protective transit wrap. If a glass jar arrives broken or damaged due to courier mishandling, please send photographic evidence via WhatsApp within 24 hours of receipt, and we will promptly dispatch a replacement jar or provide a full refund. Due to food hygiene and safety standards, opened honey jars and tea boxes cannot be returned.
6. Infant Health Advisory
Health Notice: In line with pediatric guidelines worldwide, raw honey should never be given to infants under 12 months of age.
